Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of karufoto ("the Service") provided by ICEHAMBURG INC. ("we"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

The Service optimizes images (resize and re-encode) entirely on your device and optionally lets you share them via a private link. Shared images are deleted automatically 7 days after creation.

2. Your responsibilities

You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to any image you upload or share.
You must not handle content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
Shared images are deleted after 7 days. Backing up any data you need is your responsibility.

3. Prohibited conduct

Violating laws or public order and morals
Infringing third-party rights (copyright, portrait rights, privacy, etc.)
Interfering with the Service or placing an excessive load on it
Reverse engineering or unauthorized access

4. Intellectual property

Rights to images you upload remain yours. We process them only as needed to provide the Service (optimization, sharing, delivery). Rights to the Service itself belong to us or our licensors.

5. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or data preservation. We are not liable for loss of data, including the 7-day deletion of shared images.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages or lost profits arising from use of the Service.

7. Changes & suspension

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service without prior notice.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, with the Saitama District Court as the court of first instance, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that may apply to you.
